“ My name is Birgit B. de Boer. I’m an artist. I specialize in oil painting. My favorite subject matter is the female figure. I have been traveling a lot and have had the opportunity to view women and their roles in a variety of cultures and backgrounds. I regard women as the backbone of society, All my work is painted from memory, this is because I get only fleeting glimpses of spontaneity before people are aware of my presence and adjust their behavior. This gives my work a dream like quality.”
